How to make our super simple mitten craft

Firstly you’ll need to create your mitten shape. You can either do this by cutting it free hand or by tracing a mitten shape around your child’s hands onto the paper and cutting it out to make it a bit more personal. Once you have your two mitten shapes simply place them and glue them down.

Cut out a fair length of yarn and glue each end to a mitten. For added cuteness, we shaped our yarn into a little heart, which you can see above.

Now it’s time to add the fluff to your mittens by sticking your cotton wool onto the base of them, ensuring that the string is covered. We used cotton wool pads, we peeled them in half, cut them into rectangles and then stuck them down and fluffed them up. Cotton wool balls and strips also look super cute too!

Now it’s time to decorate the mittens using any bits and bobs that you have lying around. We used sequins and think that they look great!
