I love a craft that’s quick and simple to make, and this easy Easter chick craft doesn’t disappoint! It’s a great Easter activity for younger children with shorter attention spans such as preschoolers. All you need is a few simple materials, which makes it joyfully budget friendly, too. We think these are just perfect for group crafting or a quick home activity!
Here’s what you’ll need
- Yellow card
- Orange card
- Googly eyes
- Glue
- Scissors
- Feathers
How to make our Easy Easter chick craft

Start by simply taking your yellow card and cutting out a circle of your chosen size to make the chick’s body.

Cut out two equal strips of orange card to make the legs. Continuously fold each strip one way and then the other to give you two springy legs as you can see in the picture above.

Glue the legs onto the bottom of your circle. Then, cut out two little feet and glue one onto the end of each leg.

Next, cut out two yellow leaf shapes to make the wings and then glue one on either side of your Easter chick’s body.

Take a small square of your orange card and fold it in half. Cut out a triangle with a wide base with the base being along the fold line so that you end up with a folded diamond shaped beak. Glue the beak onto the chick’s face, and then add two googly eyes.

Add any other details such as a cute little tuft of hair or some feathers, and once you’re happy, your super cute and easy Easter chick craft is finished! We just love these.
