Over the weekend we bought a big box of wooden keyring blanks from amazon and my kids and i have been having loads of fun with them! The kids have loved made chains for their bags and also little gifts for their friends. We’ve come up with so many fun little designs and can’t wait to share them with you over the next few weeks; starting with these cute handmade pig keyrings!
Heres what we used
- Wooden keyring blanks with split rings and keychain (available here on amazon uk or here on amazon us)
- Acrylic paint pens (Amazon uk or Amazon us)
- Long nose craft pliers (Amazon uk or Amazon Us)
- Pink foam
- Pink buttons
- Googly eyes
- Scissors
- Glue gun
How to make our cute handmade pig keyrings

Start by taking your pink acrylic markers and colouring in your wooden keyring. Once you have done one side leave it to dry for a few minutes and then flip it over and do the other side.

Next take your pink foam and cut out two pointy little piggy ears. We then used our light pink marker to draw on the inner ears before gluing then down on the back of our keyring.

Add a cute little pink button to just below the centre of your keying to make the snout

Then give your piggy a face by adding two Googly eyes just above the snout and drawing a mouth just below it.

Open up your split ring and thread it into the Joe on your pig . Attach the keyring and then use your thin nose pliers to clamp the split ring closed.

Optionally add your name or special message onto the back of your keyring and once dry they’re ready to use or gift!
