These Christmas lollipop ornaments are so simple and easy to make and they look fab too! Willy wonka and the chocolate factory starring gene wilder was one of my favourite family movies to watch at Christmas and I just love sweet themed christmas decorations because of it. I’ve also purchased Roald Dahl’s Charlie and the chocolate factory book to read with my son this Christmas so these decorations are extra special to us! They can be a little tricky to master at first but they’re quick to learn and once you know how they’re easy to mass produce which makes them a winner for groups such as our after school club too!

How to make our Christmas lollipop ornaments

Start by cutting out several identical circles, to make them urs we used a glue lid to draw around first. You’ll need four of each colour per lollipop but to be safe we cut out an extra two of each incase of any mistakes.

Glue the circles around in a circular shape following an under, over pattern. Each circle should underlap the previous one and overlap the following one.

Take your plain lollipop stick and coat it using your white marker. Pop the stick aside to try.

Tie your length of festive ribbon into a secure bow and trim the edges into a pretty triangle. Glue the popsicle stick down in place on the back of the lollipop and then stick the ribbon down in place where the lollipop and the stick meet.

Using another length of your festive ribbons tie a loop that you can use to hang your ornament and glue it onto the back of the ornament. Pop it aside to dry and once finished your ornament is ready to hang. We just love these!
