Simple paper rosettes.

Today’s craft is all about showing a little love. These simple paper rosettes are so easy to make and can be used for almost any occasion by simply adjusting the colours to suit. We think they look really great, and they make perfect gifts to give someone who deserves a medal! My 4yo found these really easy to make and even wanted to make one for me after doing his dad’s. We’ve added some magnets to ours so that we can stick them to the fridge and they look fab!
You will need
Paper plate
Coloured paper
Scissors
Glue
A pen

Take your a4 paper, place it landscape and fold the top corners down to the bottom ones. cut your paper in half down the folded line then cut the two strips into smaller strips about 2cm wide.

Take your first coloured strips and glue them in a circle around the paper plate with 1-2cm overhanging at the edge.

Now for your second colour of stirps. Glue them in a circle that is slightly smaller than your first.

using the same colour paper as the inner strips; cut out a circle and glue it down in the centre of your rosette.

To make the tails of your rosette, cut two A4 length strips of your outer coloured paper. Then cut a triangle out of the bottom of each strip. Secure the strips to the back of your plate using glue.

All that’s left to do is to add your own special message to your rosette and it is finished! what a fab handmade gift to someone special!
