How to make a snowman sweet jar

Start by making a large pom pom roughly the same size as the lid of your jar. If you haven’t made a pom pom before you can find an easy guide to making one with and without a pom pom maker here.

Next we need to make the snowman’s cozy earmuffs. To do this take a small length of pipecleaner and glue a pom pom on both ends. Add any other optional decorations such as bows and the glue the ear muffs into place on the pom pom snowman.

Glue on two Googly eyes and a pom pom nose

Next cut out a long strip of coloured felt to make the scarf. Make several snips in each end and then use your glue gun to attach the scarf onto the jar lid as above.

Glue the pom pom head onto the scarf and jar lid and once dry your snowman sweet jars are finished! These are great as homemade Christmas decor or for gifting to loved ones!

This year we’re making it our mission to make sure all of our Christmas cards are handmade for that extra personal touch. I hope you and your little ones love them just as much as we do!

Here’s what we used

  • White and brown card
  • Gold and red glitter foam
  • Sticker eyes
  • Scissors
  • Glue

How to make our Handmade reindeer Christmas cards

Start by taking your piece of card and folding it in half to make the card shape. Then optionally cut the card down into a square as we have.

Cut out and glue down a large circle near the bottom edge of the card to make the reindeer’s face.

Next it’s time to cut out two sparkly antlers before gluing one on either side of the reindeer’s heal. Cut out two ear shapes and glue one just below each antler.

Finish off the card by adding on two cute eyes and a big red circle as a nose! Aren’t these just the cutest?!

Wrapping Paper christmas card

Wrapping Paper christmas card

I love sitting down with a festive movie and wrapping up the Christmas presents, Unfortunately I’m not very good at it. I always end up with random pieces left over here and there and no idea what to do with them. It makes me think of my late great gran who every year used to meticulously open her presents so she didn’t damage the Paper. She’d then iron it out and pop it in the cupboard to reuse the next year, waste not want not! Which is exactly what led us to making this super cute wrapping paper Christmas card design.

Here’s what we used

  • Card
  • Wrapping paper offcuts
  • Ribbon
  • Scissors
  • Glue

How to make this wrapping paper Christmas card

First start by making the shape of the card you want to make, for this one we folded an A5 peice of card and trimmed it into a square.

Take the wrapping paper and cut out the shape of the present, we chose a square to match the card. Glue it down on the front of your Christmas card.

Take two lengths of ribbon and cut one to the length of the wrapping paper and one to width of the wrapping paper. Glue the strips down centrally across the presents to make a plus sign.

Take another length of ribbon and tie it into a bow. I will be uploading some videos on how to tie bows but for now there are some excellent videos on YouTube if you need some help. Glue the bow in place at the top of the present, then add a special message if desired and the card is finished! Aren’t these cute? Such a fun way to use up old wrapping paper.

We will be keeping these ones for our tree because I can’t bear to part with them but once our photos arrive we will be making more to post out to grandparents and other loved ones! There are so many lovely designs that you can make and we would love to see what you and your little ones come up with. Did you know we now have a Facebook? You can share them with us there!

Here’s what we used

How to make these adorable photo frame ornaments.

Make the base of your photo frame by cutting out two equally sized circles. Take one of the circles and cut out a circle from the centre to make the front ring of the frame.

Now it’s time for little one to decorate their photo frames using their favorite embellishments!

Cut your photo down to size and glue it to the front of the backing circle (you can draw around your circle to help you cut your photo to the right size!). Then cut out a small semi circle tab and pierce a hole in the top center. Glue the tab down at the top of of the bauble as you can see above.

Glue the two sides of your photo frame together and tie a loop in your string. Thread the loop through the hole at the top of your bauble and pull the loop through itself to knot it on securely. Your adorable photo frame is ready to display or gift!
