With my son being off school we’ve been missing our walk to and from. Usually on our walk we can see the sheep that belong to a local farmer. We were talking about those fluffy sheep when my little guy suggested that we should make our own sheep. I’m pretty sure he meant a real one but that’s a little bit beyond my powers! So, instead we came up with this cute fluffy hand print sheep craft. It’s not as good as a real fluffy sheep but it’s still pretty cute!
You will need
White and black card
Pink paper
Black marker
Scissors
Glue
To start off, draw around your little one’s hand and then cut out the hand print to use as a template.
Draw around your template hand print to make 6 or 7 more (depending on your little ones hand size), then cut them out. We used 7 hand prints including our template one.
Take your glue and stick the palms of your hand prints down together in a circle wreath shape to make the sheep’s fluffy body.
From your black card, cut out the acorn shape of you sheep’s head and then stick it down in the centre of your sheep as you can see in the picture above. Then cut out two long rectangular legs and using your glue, secure them in place on the back of your sheep.
Now give your sheep two eyes, we used eye stickers but if you don’t have these you can simply cut out two white circles and then use a black marker to draw on the details. Next, cut out two small white circles for nostrils and two pink circles to make the rosy cheeks. Glue all of your face pieces down and your super cute hand print sheep is finished!
Did you like this craft? why not check out this roarsome hand print lion!
How adorable is this fluffy hand print lion craft? We actually came up with this cute little craft whilst making our fluffy hand print sheep. Looking at the wreath we made whilst making the sheep i thought, this would make a fab lion! I love hand print crafts, once my son is fed up with them i like to keep them stashed away as keepsakes to look back on when he’s older and spending time crafting with mummy isn’t cool anymore. Not only are these lions really simple to make, they only require basic resources too. So why not give this cute lion craft a go!
You will need
Coloured paper/card (we used light orange, dark orange, light brown and yellow)
Black marker
Scissors
Glue
Googly eyes
First you’ll need to make your hand print template by drawing around little one’s hand and then cutting out the hand print . We normally make a template to draw around rather than draw around my little guys hand over and over simply because he says its too tickly!
Use your hand print template to draw around and cut out more hand prints. You will need 7-10 depending in how big the hand prints are and how the fingers are positioned. We eventually used 9 hand prints.
Glue your hand prints down at the palms in a round wreath shape to make the lion’s mane.
Cut out the shape of your lion’s face. This is simply an oval shape with two semi circle ears at the top. Glue it down in the centre of your hand print mane.
Glue on two cute googly eyes and then use your black marker to draw on your lion’s ears, nose, mouth and whisker spots. Your super cute lion is finished! isn’t he Roarsome!?
