Cute paper flower crown

After my other half finished work the other day we decided to snuggle up and watch a movie with the kids. It was hubby’s turn to chose so we ended up watching Moana – it’s secretly his favourite kids film! The next day when we sat down to craft my little boy decided that he wanted to make his sister a ‘flower crown’ like Moana. His sister is obsessed with hats of any kind so I thought that this was pretty sweet of him. We really enjoyed making this craft and when my daughter woke up from her nap she was super pleased with her new super cute paper flower crown!

Here is what we used;

  • Card
  • Coloured paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue

Take your piece of card and place it the landscape position. Fold your piece of paper in half so that the top corners touch the bottom ones. Open your paper back up and fold the bottom corners to the centre line you made and bring the top corners down to meet them in the centre. You should now have 4 equal strips

Cut out two of these strips and glue them together at one end.

Cut out some leaves to decorate the base of your crown. My little lad insisted that we needed to make little leaves but you may wish to make them bigger for younger children to cut and stick.

To decorate your crown, cut out several flower shapes and bend the petals up slightly on each one. Then, cut out the same amount of small circles to make the inner part of your flower.

Glue your inner circles into your flowers and then glue your flowers along your leaf crown.

Finish off your crown by pulling it around and gluing it into a circlet. So cute!
