Earlier on we made some adorable kawaii bunny cards to celebrate Easter. I absolutely loved them so my son and I decided to adapt them to make this cute kawaii bunny craft to frame and hang in his sister’s bedroom (which we are in the process of decorating). They look adorable and the fact that her big brother helped make them makes them all the more cute! why not make some to decorate with or gift?
You will need:
White card
Coloured card
Coloured paper
Black paper
Scissors
Glue
To start you will need to take your white card and cut out your bunny shape. The easiest way to make your bunny is to draw an egg shape for the face, then add on two elongated ears. Don’t worry about messy lines as you can use this as the back of your bunny! (Once my scanner is up and running I will upload a template to make this step even easier – watch this space!)
Once you have cut out your bunny face shape, mount it on to your chosen colour backing paper/card. Then cut out and stick down two coloured ovals to make the inner ears.
Now to make your eyes. The eyes shown above are the easiest to make. To make the big cute open one, cut out a black circle then add a white circle and then another slightly smaller white circle to make the light spots. To make the happy squinting eyes, cut out three rounded strips and glue them into a triangular shape as above.
Glue down your eyes and then from your black paper, cut out a number 3 shape to make the mouth.
Cut out two pink ovals to make the rosy cheeks and then optionally cut out an hourglass shape and a circle to make a bow. Glue down your pieces and your super cute kawaii bunny craft is finished! Don’t they look adorable?
With Easter right around the corner we’ve been loving all the adorable spring animal crafts and products that are about at the moment and We decided to make our own Easter cards. After a bit of experimenting we came up with these super cute kawaii bunny cards. With the current virus situation my son won’t be able to hand them out but we can always send a picture to his friends! Besides, we can stash them in the cupboard as back up birthday cards for the next time I forget to pick one up (it happens more than i’d like to admit!).
You will need
White card
Coloured paper
Black paper
Scissors glue
Start off by taking an A4 piece of card and fold it in half. Draw the shape of your bunny head on to your card by drawing an egg shape with two elongated ears (you’ll need a flat section at the bottom so that your card can stand up). Remember to leave part of your fold line intact otherwise instead of one card you will have two separate bunny faces! Now cut out your card.
Once you have your bunny card cut out, cut out and glue down two coloured ovals to make the rabbit’s inner ears.
Now to make the eyes! There are two examples in the picture above. If you want to make the happy squinting eyes, cut out three rounded strips of black card and stick them into a triangular shape as above. For the big open eyes, cut out a black circle then add a white circle and a smaller white circle to make the light spots. Make two eyes and glue them down on your bunny.
Cut out a black number 3 shaped piece and glue it down to make the mouth.
finish off by adding two pink ovals to make some rosy cheeks. Optionally, add a bow by cutting out an hourglass shape and a different coloured circle, glue the two pieces together and stick them at the base of your bunny’s ear.
