Pig corner bookmarks

How cute are these little pig corner bookmarks? For the last couple of weeks my toddler has been absolutely obsessed with the nursery rhyme old MacDonald had a farm. She sings it non-stop and over the last few days I haven’t been able to get it out of my head either! So naturally when I sat down with my son to make some bookmarks the first design that popped in to my head was one of our favourite farm yard animals. Piglets are just the cutest little things, We used to love seeing them at our local zoo farm but with the current situation it’s been shut since March, so we haven’t been able to visit. It’s one of our favourite days out and we’ve missed it a lot. So whilst making our little pigs we decided that over the next few weeks we’re going to try and make a whole range of these little corner bookmarks designed to look like our favourite farmyard animals!
Heres what we used
- Light and dark pink paper
- White paper
- Black marker
- Scissors
- Glue
- Ruler
How to make these cute little pig corner bookmarks

First start off by folding a corner bookmark. If you or your little one hasn’t made one before you can find an easy visual guide here.

Cut out two little pig ears and glue one either side of the top point of the bookmark. Then cut out an oval shape nose and glue it along the center of the folded edge as above. Remember to check that your little one only glues the nose onto the upper layer and not the bottom one too or it won’t work as a bookmark.

Now cut out and stick on two white circles for the outer eyes and two little circles for the cheeks.

Finish off your pigs face by adding two black pupils and two little nostrils. We then finished ours off by adding a little light pink square to the inside for decoration. Don’t they just look adorable!

We would love to see how your little pig corner bookmarks turned out. Did you know we’re now on Facebook? Why not share them with us there!
