Here’s what we used

2 Paper cups
Bamboo skewer
Paint & paintbrush
Scissors
A button
How to make this cute paper flower pot craft
First start by painting one of the cups to make the plant pot. Then take the second cup and chop off a small section from the bottom. Paint this section the color you want your flower to be planted in; we used brown for soil. Then finally take your skewer and color it green to make the stem. pop them aside to dry – We used a small piece of polystyrene to stand our stem up in whilst it was drying.
Take the colored paper that you will be using for the flower head and cut it into 6-8 equal strips of paper. Glue your strips together at the center to form a sun shape as in the above picture.
Take the end of each strip and glue it down at the center
of the flower.
Continue this process with all of the strips and then glue down the button to make the center of the flower.
Attach your painted stem to the back of your the flower. Then cut out a strip of green paper and glue the two ends together to make a leaf. Glue the leaf onto the stem and repeat as desired.
Glue the end piece of cup down inside the plant pot cup so that the base is facing upwards. Pierce the flower stem through the upturned cup and then through the base of your plant pot cup so that it stands stiff. TIP: if your cup has a flat base rather than a raised base then a lump of blu tack in the bottom of the plant pot cup will give the stem something to stick in to. Add any extra decoration and once dry the flower is ready to display or gift!
These adorable heart shaped pizza cards are perfect for a variety of occasions!
Today were back with a little twist on one of our older crafts – the pizza heart card! We thought it would be cute if instead of sticking the hearts onto a card we made the cards themselves heart shaped and we weren’t disappointed! How cute are these little cards? They’re super simple, quick to make and are perfect for a whole range of occasions such as valentines day, fathers day, mothers day and more!
Here’s what you’ll need
Coloured card (we used beige, red, yellow, grey and pink)
Scissors
Glue
How to make our heart shaped pizza cards
Take your pizza base coloured card and fold it in half. Using the bottom corner as the point draw a heart onto the card. Remember to leave part of the fold intact otherwise you’ll end up with two heart shapes rather than one heart card! Once happy with your shape, cut it out.
Cut out a slightly smaller red heart and glue it centrally on to the front of the card.
Now its time to cut out your toppings and glue them onto the front of your card. We went with a classic cheese, ham and mushrooms!
Finish off by adding a special message on the inside and your pizza heart card is ready to gift!
How adorable are these chocolate strawberry valentines cards!?
Valentines day is fast approaching and we have been busy making some cards to send out to all our loved ones. Valentines isn’t really something me and my other half celebrate too much, he’s not really the romantic sort! I usually get a cute little present and some years we might cuddle up and watch a film which is lovely! This year though, we think its more important than ever to share a little love around to the important people on our lives. Do you have any valentines day traditions in your house? we’d love to hear them!

How to make our chocolate strawberry valentines cards
Start by taking your piece of card and folding it in half to make your card shape. Using the bottom corner as the point, draw your heart shape onto your card. Remember to leave part of the fold line intact so you end up with one little heart shaped card rather than two card hearts!!
Cut out two equal strips of green paper and cut a zig zag shape into one side of each. Glue a strip on either side at the center of the heart and trim any excess as you can see above. Then cut out A small stem shape and glue it in the middle of the heart.
Cut out several small circles for the seeds (we used a hole punch to make our little circles!) and glue them all over the strawberry heart.
Finally take a brown piece of paper and cut out the shape of your chocolate dip, glue it onto your card and your card is finished! Tip: use the corner of your brown paper as the point of your chocolate so that it fits your card perfectly.
All that’s left to do is add your special message to the inside and your card is ready to gift!!
These sweet little beaded heart decorations are so simple and easy to make and don’t they just look adorable? It’s more important now than ever to show a little love to special people in our lives and my kids have made some of these to give to their great grandparents who they haven’t really seen much this year. Its not the same as a little cuddle but sometimes all it takes is a little gesture to brighten someone’s day!
Heres what we used
Pipe cleaner
Beads
Ribbon
Scissors
How to make these beaded heart decorations
Take a pipe cleaner and pinch it into a point at the cente. Curve the two loose ends inwards in a basic heart shape and thread your beads onto the pipecleaner leaving a 1-2cm gap on each end.
Once you’re happy with your decoration, twist the two ends together and then tuck them up inside the pony beads.
Thread a piece of ribbon through the bead which sits at the inside point of your heart and tie the ends together to make a loop. Bend your heart back into shape if necessary and its ready to gift to a love one!
Crafting isn’t only for big kids. My 1yo loves to craft and paint and when my eldest is at school i love to sit down and spend time painting with her. Today was her grandmothers birthday so made this toddler finger-paint berry heart card, isn’t it sweet? the best part is that it can be as spotty and smudgy as your toddler chooses and it will still look adorable!
You will need
Red card
Green and Yellow Paint
2 Googly eyes
A marker pen
First you will need to make your card shape. Take a rectangle strip of card (we usually quarter a piece of A4 to make four cards) and fold it in half. Trim your card to make it into a square. Draw on the curves of your heart as you can see above. Cut out your heart shape.
Now its time to fingerpaint your card! Add some green fingerprints for leaves and some yellow fingerprints for seeds.
Finish off your the front of your berry heart card by giving him two googly eyes and drawing on a smiley mouth!
Now all that’s left to do is write your message inside and gift your heart to someone special.
