Todays craft idea is the third in our range of farmyard bookmarks! These sweet little sheep corner bookmarks are just so simple and easy to make. We all read a lot of books in this house so its handy to have loads of these little bookmarks lying around to pick up as and when we need them.
On our walk into school in the mornings we walk past a big field full of sheep, we always have to stop and say hello to them and my son even has names for some of the more recognizable ones. It’s just a really lovely little morning tradition. I must say I really do love living in the countryside, the views are amazing as is our local community. I’ve been blessed to have met some really lovely people over the last couple of years. I’d like to hope that we’ll settle here for a while now but my other half comes from a more built up area and i know he’d love to move more in towards town, so we’ll have to wait and see what the future holds!

How we made our sheep corner bookmarks.
First start by making a corner bookmark, if you haven’t made one before you can find a simple guide here.
Cut out a white fluffy cloud shape for the body of the sheep and a black mushroom shape for the head. Finally you’ll need two small rectangles for the legs.
Glue your peices of sheep together and then secure the sheep centrally on the bookmark.
Finish off your sheep corner bookmark by gluing on two little wiggly eyes. Isn’t she a little cutie!
How cute are these little Triceratops dinosaur corner bookmarks? My son is mad about dinos but we always find it hard to come up with dinosaur themed crafts. So we were pretty pleased with these little guys. I’ve even found that my son is more interested in reading his books too – simply because he wants to use his new bookmarks!
You will need
Coloured crafting paper
Scissors
Pencil
Sticker eyes (optional)
Glue
First you’ll need to start by folding your bookmark. If you haven’t made one before you can find an easy photo guide here.
To make the frill, cut out some semi circles and glue them along the inside of your bookmark. You should need between 4 and 6 depending on how big you cut them.
Cut out a rounded yellow triangle for the beak and glue it down on the outer point of your bookmark. Then, give your triceratops two eyes. We used eye stickers but if you don’t have these you could cut out two white paper circles and draw the details on – or just draw them straight on to your bookmark!
Finish off your triceratops by adding a curved horn to each side of his head and a straight horn to the upper edge of the beak. Once dry, your super roarsome triceratops bookmark is finished and ready to be used!
There might be an influx of unicorn crafts over the next few days, my unicorn mad niece came to visit a few weeks back and we spent hours sat making all different unicorn crafts. After a busy couple of weeks I’ve only just managed to start to sort and upload them. I really love these Simple unicorn corner bookmarks, they look gorgeous and were easy enough for her to make all by herself too. In fact like with many of the crafts we make – i now have a whole herd of them that’s she’s made to go in our books! If you have 5 minutes to spare, why not give one a go?
You will need
Coloured paper or card
Black marker

First of all you will need to fold your origami corner bookmark. If you haven’t made one before you can find a photo guide on how to make your own here.
Now you’ll need to cut out the shapes to go on the unicorns head. Using the same colour as your bookmark; cut out two ears. Then use some coloured paper to cut out two smaller inner ears and a unicorn horn.
Next you’ll need to give your unicorn two eyes, we use eye stickers but if you don’t have them you can simply cut out two white circles and draw the details on with a marker. For the nose, cut out a coloured oval and optionally add a mouth or some nostrils. Glue the eyes and nose down.
Cut out two little circles and glue them down to make two rosy cheeks. We used a hole punch to punch out two perfect little circles. Your unicorn bookmark is finished! Don’t they look fab?!
We have been so busy with crafting over the last couple of days. With my son only being 4 we don’t have a home schooling pack to keep him entertained during this time of schools being closed. We’ve been busy coming up with fun ways to help him learn letters and numbers and also providing him with plenty of fun things to make and craft to break up the day a bit for him. We made this cute little Easter chick corner bookmark to go with our farmyard stories book that we are reading and doesn’t he look adorable!
You will need.
Yellow, orange and white paper
A black marker
Scissors
Glue
To start you will need to make your bookmark. If you haven’t folded one before you can see my guide on how to do it here.
Next you will need to cut out two elongated wing shapes and two little feet as shown above. Glue them down in place on your bookmark.
To make your chick’s face you will need to give him two eyes. We used eye stickers but if you don’t have them you can just cut out two white circles for the eyes and then use your marker to draw on the details. The easiest way to make the beak is to fold a scrap piece of orange paper in half and then cut a triangle from it – using the fold as the triangle base. This should give you a perfect folded diamond shape.
Glue your eyes and beak onto the upper triangle of your bookmark and your super cute little chick is finished! How adorable is he!

With it being so close to Easter bunnies are a particularity popular theme right now. My son loves rabbits anyway, his Grandma has two little ones that he absolutely adores. However, I’m pretty sure that all this bunny mania has sprung from the fact that he just can’t wait for the Easter bunny to come and hide some eggs! He’s forever asking how much longer he has to wait, so for now were busy filling the time with some Easter themed crafts – like these extra cute DIY bunny corner bookmarks.
You will need
Coloured or white paper for your bunny
Pink, orange, white and green paper
Black marker
Scissors
Glue
First of all you will need to make your corner bookmark. If you haven’t made one before you can find a guide on how to fold one here.
Take your bunny coloured paper and cut out two long ears. Now, take your pink paper and cut out two slightly smaller inner ears and a triangle for the nose.
Glue your bunny’s ears down on the inside of your bookmark and the triangle nose on the bottom point as above.
Use your black marker to draw on two eyes and some whiskers.
To make your carrot cut out a rounded orange cone shape and draw on some lines. Next cut out the curvey shape of the greenery as seen above. For the tail cut out a white circle.
Glue down the bunny’s tail on the top point of your bookmark. Then finish off by gluing down the carrot on the back of your bookmark under the bunny’s nose. How cute does your bunny bookmark look? We think they’re adorable!
