Simple Easter Chick Collage

The last few days we’ve been busy trying to come up with some sweet and simple crafts that are really easy for children to make at home. With the current situation most of us are spending pretty much all of our time at home and when its rains and pours, most of that time is indoors. Crafting is a really fun way for children to pass some time and even if its not your cup of tea, these crafts are really simple, straighforward and easy to make – just like this super cute and simple Easter chick collage!

You will need

  • White paper
  • Coloured paper (yellow, green and orange)
  • Black marker
  • Googly eye
  • Ribbon
  • Scissors
  • Glue

To make the body you’ll need to cut out two yellow circles; one slightly smaller than the other. To get good sizings we drew around the outside of a roll of sellotape for the body and then around the inside for the head. Glue your two circles down in position overlapping slightly as you can see in the picture above.

Cut out an orange triangle for the beak and two curvy tridents for the legs and feet. Glue your pieces down in place.

Glue down a googly eye on the head circle of your Easter chick. Now take your marker and use it to draw on a U shaped wing.

Take your ribbon and tie it in to a bow. Glue your bow down in place where your body circle meets the head circle. Finish off by cutting out a green tuft of grass and gluing it on to your picture. You could even go on to draw on some flowers and some butterflies or bumble bees!
