These adorable spiders are so quick and easy to make and are great as homemade halloween decor hung from the ceilings or even just as a cute incy wincy spider inspired craft!
I love to see your home creations, did you know I’m now on Facebook and instagram? You can share them with me there!
Here’s what you’ll need
1 large Pom Pom
1 small Pom Pom
4 pipe cleaners (depending on the size of the pom poms you are using you may be able to use 2 pipe cleaners and chop them in half)
Two Googly eyes
Glue gun
How to make our adorable Pom Pom spider
Take your small pom pom (which will be the spiders head) and use a small blob of glue to attach it to the larger pom pom which will be the spider’s body.
Glue your pipe cleaners centrally across the underside of the spiders belly so that you have 4 legs sticking out each side.
Attach two eyes to the front of your spiders face and optionally add any details such as fangs on a mouth.
Finally bend the pipe cleaners upwards and then outwards to create the shape of the spiders legs. Aren’t these little Pom Pom spiders adorable? We added some stretchy elastic to the back of ours to make a web for the kids to bounce him up and down with!
These adorable paper dragonflies are simple and easy to make, perfect for a sunny summers day with the kids!
What you’ll need
Coloured paper
Scissors
Double sided tape / glue
Googly eyes
How to make our paper dragonflies
Cut out multiple strips of paper making sure each one is thinner and shorter than the last until you have a selection of strips similar to the ones in the picture above.
Take your largest strip and add glue or tape to one and the roll it around and attach it to the other end to form a circular tube. Repeat this step with all of your other strips. With the smallest strip you can flatten it slightly to create a long tail.
Stick all of the tubes together in descending order of size to create the body of the dragonfly.
Next you’ll need to cut out the shapes of your wings. To do this we folded a piece of paper in half then drew a wing from the fold and then opened it out to reveal our double wing shape.
Once you have your two wing shapes stick them together in a cross and then onto the body of the dragonfly
Finish off your adorable paper dragonflies by adding two Googly eyes and any optional facial features!

How to make toilet roll camouflage binoculars!
Cut out a strip of card the same height as the tp roll and long enough to wrap around it. Glue the card and wrap it around the toilet roll.
Repeat the above step to make the other side of the binoculars.
Glue a thin black strip around both ends of each toilet roll to make the rim of the binoculars.
Next cut out several patches from your coloured papers and glue them down randomly on each tube to create a camouflage effect
Glue the two tubes of the binoculars together and then finally take a length of string and glue an end down inside each tube on the outer edge of the roll. I used a glue gun for my kid’s binoculars but pva glue will work perfectly too, you’ll just need to make to sure your child’s binoculars are completely dry before they’re played with!

Next cut out several colourful leaves and stick them together in the shape of a fan, this will be the turkeys tail Feathers.
Glue the tail onto the back of the turkey. Finally, cut out two little feet and glue them onto the bottom and your cute little paper turkey craft is finished!
This free nature scavenger hunt printable is a great way to get outdoors with the kids and celebrate the warmer weather! We took our copies to the local lake and the kids had a great time running around looking for the different items on the list. We made two versions, one with labels for my youngest and one with blank labels for my eldest to fill out himself, it was a great way to encourage him to practise his writing and to make it extra fun we took a camera so they could take turns taking pictures of their findings!
