How to make our paper daisy craft
Cut out several equal sized strips of white paper. Take six strips and glue them together in a flower like shape on to your paper – remember to only glue the centre and leave the ends of the strips loose.
Take the end of each strip, bring it inwards and glue it down in the middle of the flower.
Cut out and glue on a circle to make the centre of the flower.
Repeat the previous steps to make the desired amount of daisies.
Cut out a strip of green paper to make the stem and then add some green leaves.
Next, Cut out a strip of paper a few cms longer than the bottom of the picture and on one side cut out several triangles to make some spiky grass. Fold a small tab on each side of the grass and then use the tabs to glue the grass onto the picture. Once dry your little one’s cute paper daisy craft is ready to display!
Spring is finally here! The Sun has started shining, the flowers are beginning to grow and our garden has been abuzz with an abundance of big fuzzy bumblebees. After a few weeks of being ill a bit of spring is exactly what we needed and to celebrate we decided to make a spring themed craft idea. Here’s what we used
Yellow, black and white card

How to make our threaded bumble bee craft!
Take the yellow card and cut out a oval shape. Use the hold punch to make an equal amount of holes in the top and bottom of the oval.
Cut off a length of yarn and glue one end to the back of the oval body. Thread the yarn through the holes in an up and down pattern and then once finished use tape to stick the loose end down on the back of the bee.
Cut out two wing shapes and a triangular stinger. Glue them onto the bee and then add an eye using stickers or markers.
use a marker to add a smiley mouth and your adorable threaded bumble bee craft is finished! These make a great addition to any spring themed display!
With all the wet and windy weather we’ve been having lately its been the perfect time for some fun indoor crafts. These super fun paper snakes are great for keeping the kids entertained – mine certainly love them!
Here’s what we used
Coloured paper
Markers/paints etc to decorate
Black marker
Scissors
Glue
A plate or something to draw around
How to make these fun paper snakes!
Start by taking the coloured paper and drawing a circle onto it. To make it easier we used a plate to draw around. Then starting from the outside of the circle draw a spiral into the centre.
Take your markers/paint etc and decorate your paper snake spiral.
Draw the shape of the snake’s head on to the coloured paper. Cut out the head and then cut out the circle snake before cutting along the lines of the spiral.
Use the marker to add some eyes and nostrils. Then cut out the shape of the tongue and glue it onto the back of the head before gluing the head onto the center of the spiral. Once dry the snake is finished! Don’t these look amazing?
I just love this adorable paper plate umbrella craft. With all the wet and windy weather that we’ve been having lately this was the perfect craft for us to gather around the Kitchen table and do! My kids had loads of fun making these and it was a great way to burn half an hour too.
First we started with the fun part – finger painting! Take a piece of paper and using finger paints design a backdrop, for example my kids made lots of spotty raindrops and some squiggly clouds! Once finished pop your backdrop aside to dry.
Take the paper plate and cut it in half . Cut a wiggly line into the bottom to make the shape of the umbrella. Now it’s time for decorating the umbrellas! My kids used Tissue paper squares with glue but you can use anything you like.
Once the back drop and umbrella are dry take a piece of coloured paper and cut out the shape of the umbrella handle. Glue the handle onto the umbrella and then the umbrella on to the backdrop! Aren’t these just adorable? They’re great as a supporting activity when learning about seasons or weather.
How adorable is this fluffy little paper plate sheep craft? It’s so easy and cheap to make and is great for keeping the kids entertained on rainy days like today! my 3yo loved sticking on the cotton wool balls and my nearly 6yo did an amazing job cutting out the shapes and making his own paper plate sheep.
