We’re back again with yet another toilet roll craft idea! This sweet and simple toilet roll bumble bee craft was perfect for some sunny day crafting. My little boy had so much fun making our old yarn wrapped bees but sadly they’re looking a little bit on the sad and sorry side so we decided it was time to make some more bumbles to play with. We just love how cute these turned out!
Here’s what we used
Empty toilet rolls
Black, white and yellow paper
Wiggly eyes
Pipe Cleaner
Scissors
Glue
How to make our toilet roll bumble bee craft
Take the black and yellow paper, cut out a few strips from each and glue them around the empty toilet roll in a repeating black and yellow pattern
Take your toilet roll and place it on the center of your pipe cleaner. twist the pipe cleaner around the head section of the bee and then roll up the two ends to make the antennae. Once the antennae is secure glue on two wiggly eyes.
Cut out two oval wings, Fold a small tab at the end of each and then use the tab to secure the wings to the bumble bee’s back. Cut out a small pointed stinger and glue it on the inside of the tail end of the bee. Once dry the toilet roll bumble bee is ready to play with or display!
These cute toilet roll magic wands are inexpensive to make and provide hours of fun too!
My kids really loved the toilet roll flowers we made to decorate their rooms. They are forever playing with them and today they were using them as magic wands to turn each other into frogs and whatnot. I thought this was a fab idea and it gave us the inspiration to make these cute little toilet roll wands – I just love them! The kids have played with them for hours, they’re great for imaginative play and provide just as much fun as any store bought toy too. They need a lot of glue gun usage so require an adult to make.
Here’s what we used
Toilet rolls
Coloured paint and paintbrush
Wooden skewer (pointy end removed!)
Ribbon
Something for the middle (pom pom, button etc)
Scissors
Glue gun
How to make these toilet roll magic wands
Start by taking some paint and colouring the TP rolls and optionally the wand stick too. For this wand we used one blue roll, one white roll and a painted blue skewer (pointy end chopped off for safety!)
Once dry, take the tp roll that you will be using for the main part of the wand and chop it into five equal rings.
Use the hot glue gun to attach two rings both together and to the stick.
Finish adding the rest of the rings to make a star shape. for stability you will need to make sure they are glued to the rings on either side.
Take the secondary colour tp roll and cut it into 8 strips. Take two of your strips and fold them in half. Glue one of the strips inside the other as above and the repeat this three more times until you have four of these shapes.
Glue your shapes into the empty spaces between the rings of the wand as above. Then add a pom pom, a button or similar to the centre of the wand.
Add any finishing touches such as ribbon or sparkles and the magic wand is finished. These are great for imaginative play!

With everything that’s been going on, Christmas and new year seem to have passed in the blink of an eye and valentines day is almost here already. How to make a toilet roll love bug
Start by taking your empty toilet roll and coating it in your chosen paint and popping it aside to dry. Once dry add two eyes – we used white paper ovals and drew the details on with a marker. Cut out a heart shape for the wings, then fold each side of the heart just off center to create a small section that you can use to glue down the heart shaped wings.
Twist a pipe cleaner around the toilet roll between the eyes and wings so that you have two equal lengths. Curl the ends of the pipe cleaners around to make the antennae.
Finish off by adding some decorations to your love bug! With this one we used a hole punch to cut some little black paper spots to stick on but little hearts look fab too and you can be as creative as you like!
Your little toilet roll love bug craft is finished and don’t they look adorable?
Its never too early for a Halloween craft. It’s always so much fun every year crafting decorations and making costumes (or buying them from the supermarket when we leave it too Late!). We don’t know what Halloween will be like with the current covid situation but we do know it probably won’t be the same this year. However that doesn’t mean we can’t eat some treats and dress the house from head to toe with cute handmade Halloween décor. This year we’re preparing early with this awesome toilet roll pumpkin family craft!
Here’s what we used

Orange paint and paintbrush
Black, brown and green paper

How to make our toilet roll pumpkin family craft
Take your toilet rolls and cut them down in to various lengths. Paint each toilet roll using your orange paint and then put them aside to dry.
Now its time for the fun part! Use your black paper to cut out and stick on a face for each of your pumpkins.
Cut out a brown stalk and then take a thin piece of green paper and curl it around either itself or a toothpick to make a tendril. Glue your tendril onto your stalk and then glue the stalk on the inside of your toilet roll. Your super cute toilet roll pumpkin family craft is finished. Don’t they look spooktacular?
Its been a bit of a funny day for us today, the rain hasn’t stopped all day and the thunder has been just as keen too. We never really go out when its thundering as my two really aren’t keen on it, so we’ve just spent the day plodding about the house. We did however get the craft stuff out for a while earlier. Ted wanted to do some crafting by himself but also wanted me to sit next to him too. So, whilst he was busy making some awesome junk modelling I made this cute little toilet roll teddy bear craft. My youngest is totally fascinated with them and has been playing with them all afternoon. I took this to mean that she thought they were good, so I thought it would be nice to share them on here!
Heres what we used
Empty toilet roll
Brown and pink paper
Eye stickers
Marker
Scissors
Glue
How to make our toilet roll teddy bear craft
First take your brown piece of paper and cut a piece the same length as your toilet roll and wide enough to stretch around it. Cover one side of your paper in glue and wrap it around your toilet roll so that it’s completely covered.
Now its time to give your Teddy bear a face! Cut out two semi circle ears and inner ears and glue them in place on the inside of your toilet roll. Stick on two eyes and a nose then finish the face by drawing on a mouth.
To make the teddy bears arms and legs you’ll need to make some springs. Cut out two thin strips of your brown paper and glue them together at a right angle as you can see above. Then, accordion fold them by taking turns folding one over the other. Once you reach the end of your paper, glue your two loose ends together. You’ll need to make four springs in total.
From your brown paper cut out four circles to make the paws. Then, cut out four slightly smaller pink circles and glue them in the center of the brown ones to make the inside of the paw.
Glue a paw on to one end of each spring and then glue the other side of the spring onto your bear. Your cute little toilet roll teddy bear craft is finished!
