5. The Biggest Kiss by Joanna Walsh & Judi Abbot

Plot: All about kisses!

Why I love this book: This is a lovely book, super for night time snuggles and story time. The rhyming sentences are fun and jumbly and the descriptive words used are subtly educational. This is a really sweet book to end the day with

Why Ted loves this book: it has lots of pictures of different animals in it!

4. Whatever next by Jill Murphy

Plot: Baby Bear travels to the moon in a carboard box with his friend the owl. They have a picnic on the moon and baby bear returns home just in time for a bedtime bath!

Why I love this book: Whatever next! is imaginative and so much fun, its great for bed time. This book also inspired us to create our own cardboard box rocket!

Why Ted loves this book: Because the bear has a big adventure!

 

3. The smartest giant in town by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler 

Plot: A scruffy giant buys himself a nice new outfit but ends up giving it all away to his animal friends in order to keep them warm or give them a home. At the end of the book the animals gift the giant with a paper crown and name him the kindest giant in town.

Why I love this book: This is a really sweet little rhyming story that reminds us of the importance of looking after others as well as ourselves.

Why Ted loves this book: The giant helps his friends and there is lots of animals!

 

2. Hop On Pop by Dr Seuss

Plot: Another witty Dr Seuss book, full of fun rhyming couplets and silly scenarios

Why I love this book: this book is so much fun and we really enjoy matching the rhyming words and laughing at the general silliness!

Why Ted loves this Book: Its funny

 

  1. The Snail and the Whale by Julia Donaldson

Plot: A tiny snail rides around the ocean on the tail of great big humpback whale. the Snail becomes intimidated by the size of the ocean but one day the whale becomes stranded and its up to the tiny snail to fetch the help to save him.

Why I love this book: This book is a great story about something tiny doing something big, its a lovely book and is so well written. This is Ted’s favourite book at  the moment and we read it most nights!

Why Ted loves this book: Whales are my favourite animal ever!
