This cute marshmallow craft is so much fun to make, and we just love how adorable they are! This craft ideally requires the use of a glue gun, so is best suited for adults, teenagers, or older children with supervision.
Here’s what we used
- An empty toilet roll tube
- A piece of card
- Pipecleaners
- Some form of eyes
- A glue gun
- A pink felt tip pen
How to make our cute marshmallow craft

Take your empty toilet roll tube, place it on a sheet of card, and draw around it twice. Cut out the two circles that you have made.

Cut your toilet paper roll down to the desired size of your marshmallow. Then, use your pva glue or glue gun to attach a circle on each of the open ends.

Glue a pipecleaner onto the bottom of your roll, and then begin wrapping it around the body, gluing it down as you go.

Continue adding more and more pipe cleaners until the body is fully covered, then snip off the last pipecleaner at the end and glue it down in place.

Glue the end of another pipe cleaner down in the centre of one of your topper circles and continue spiralling and glueing it until the entire circle is covered. Again, secure the loose end. Optionally, you can repeat this step on the bottom of your marshmallow to cover any visible card on the bottom end.

Now, it’s time to add a face. We glued on two crochet eyes, but you could use anything from beads and counters to Googly Eyes! Once you’ve got your eyes, add any optional details like our pipecleaner mouth and felt tip pen cheeks.

To make the arms take two lengths of pipecleaners. Fold one end of each pipecleaner back on itself and twist the loose end around the body of the pipecleaner to create a hand like loop. Repeat this step to create the legs.

Glue the arms and legs onto your little marshmallow to finish it’s basic form. Aren’t these just adorable?!

Now, all that’s left to do is to add any optional details. My kids wanted me to turn mine into a birthday cake for my birthday so I made a candle by bending a yellow pipecleaner, shaping the bend into a flame, and then wrapping a blue pipecleaner around the stem of the yellow one. The kids wanted theirs to be a peppermint Christmas marshmallow, so they glued a loop on the top to hang it from the tree, which is a great idea!
