Toilet roll robot craft

How cute is this little Toilet roll robot craft? We’ve had so much fun making these today and i just love how they have turned out. We came up with these little cuties by chance after randomly deciding to paint our TP rolls with our new pot of silver paint. Initially i thought about making something space themed and then my little guy suggested robots. I must say, i like his idea better. The best part is how different each one looks, you can simply use whatever you have lying around to decorate them and they look Fab!

Here’s what we used

Take your TP roll and coat it in your chosen metallic paint before setting it aside to dry.

Once dry, take your TP roll and pierce a hole at equal heights (about 2/3 up) out on either side. Thread a pipe cleaner through these holes to create your robot arms.

Cut out a small rectangular piece of paper to be your control panel. Now you need to decorate you robot control panel. You could draw on buttons using your markers or you could glue on some bits and bobs like we have.

Now it’s time to give your robot a face, we gave ours two sticker eyes and a pen drawn mouth!

Finish off your robot by adding any extra decoration that you would like! how about twirling pipe cleaners around a pencil to make some twisty robot antennae? Don’t they look awesome?!
