In our house, we absolutely love nature documentaries. Lately, we've been watching a lot of under the sea docs and decided that we would love some under the sea themed decorations for our school room. We just love the beautiful colours of some of the fish and this is what inspired us to create this gorgeous rainbow fish craft (with free printable!).
Here's what youll need;
- Our free printable template (available at the bottom of the page)
- Holographic card/paper
- Double sided tape/glue
- Scissors
- Coloring pens
How to make our rainbow fish craft (with our free printable!)
Start by printing out our FREE rainbow fish template which is available at the bottom of this page.
Now take your holographic card/paper and cut out several colourful circles to make the scales. Each of our circles was slightly bigger than a milk lid.
Fold each of the circled in half and begin gluong the scales onto the body of the fish, with the folded end facing the head and the open end facing towards the tail.
Continue gluing the scales until the body of your fish is completely covered and its looking extra shiny!
Use the colouring pens to add some colour to the fins and tail and to add any optional extra details.
Your adorable rainbow fish is finished, these would look great cut out as Part of a under the sea display!
