Bead bunny bag charms.
Bead bunny bag charms.
My little boy loves threading toys and activities so today we decided to get out some beads and pipe cleaners as a busy activity. It was Ted’s idea that we could make a key ring for mummy’s bag and after a bit off messing around we came up with these adorable bead bunny bag charms. It took us a couple of tries to get them secure so that the beads couldn’t come off but once we figured out how to wrap them tightly we ended up making one for him to gift to half of our family – when we can visit them again!
You will need
Pipe cleaner
Pony beads
Ribbon or string
Take your pony beads and thread them on to your pipe cleaner until it’s about 1/3 full.
Pull your two ends of pipe cleaner round so that your beads form a circle. Then twists the two ends together where they meet.
Now to make the ears! Start first with one side, thread the pony beads on until you have about 1cm of pipe cleaner left visible.
Bend your end of pipecleaner down behind your circle..
And twist the end a few times around the point where you previsously twisted your two pipe cleaners together. Make sure it is pulled as tight and secure as possible so that they cannot be pulled apart easily.
Repeat this process on the other side to make a second ear and finish your bunny shape!
To hang your charm, thread a piece of ribbon or string through the outer bead at the bottom of each ear
Then tie your cute little charms on to your bag zip and you are finished! Don’t they look sweet!
